@Kate: When in photoshop the easiest way to do this is to use a magnetic lasso and drag it around the object you want different and once you have finished selecting the object create a new layer by copy. Then it will let you adjust the saturation on the background image while leaving the color on the main image. It is very easy. See previous posts, i have used it on a daisy as well and it is a lot of fun! Thanks for your time.

This is my favorite out of your flower posts. The pink just pops out of my screen. perfect processing there. Just one Eeek ... I think that the background looks to much like a curtain, maybe the rose is a bit to blurred or to big and distracting. What do you think? Had to point that out because thought it was a shame for the rest of your good work.

@Maoya: Funny! I didn't see that. I don't think i could have avoided that on this close of a macro shot, correct me if i am wrong. I appreciate your input
